Sadia Hayat (also 'Sadia Hyat', 'Sadia Hayat Khan', 'Sadia Malaika Hayat' etc.) (born 1972) is a Pakistani popular television and film actress, anchor and stage model.[1][2][3]

Origins

Sadia was born in a feudal, aristocratic Punjabi family. Her father was a businessman based in Islamabad and her great-grandfather was the famous Punjabi statesman Sir Sikandar Hayat Khan.[citation needed] Her mother was in show business and also ran a boutique and art gallery. She is the only child of her parents.[citation needed]

After her early education and A-levels from Froebel's International School, Sadia was married and settled in the USA.[citation needed] However after some time her marriage could not last and she returned home to Pakistan and did a number of jobs, for some years, before turning full time to modeling and acting. She got her first introduction to Pakistan Television (PTV) through her relative Rohail Hyatt[citation needed][4] and eventually got a chance in the TV serial play Tinkey.[3]
