NMBS/SNCB class 26s are single voltage freight locomotives.
Unusually for Belgium these locomotives are classified as B-B rather than Bo-Bo, being fitted with Schneider monomotor bogies.
They could be found working the heaviest freight trains in Belgium. They were fitted for multiple working with class 23, and occasionally strayed onto their commuter "P" train duties. All class 26s were taken out of the service in December 2011.
