The S6 is a regional railway line of the S-Bahn Zürich on the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network, and is one of the network's lines connecting the cantons of Zürich and Aargau.

Route

The line runs from Baden to Zurich, via the Furttal railway, and then heads for Uetikon am See on Lake Zürich, stopping by Zürich Oerlikon and Zürich Stadelhofen.

Rolling stock

All services are operated by Re 450 class locomotives pushing or pulling double-deck passenger carriages.

Scheduling

The train frequency is usually 30 minutes and the trip takes 66 minutes. The eastern end of the line is cut back to Tiefenbrunnen from about 21h. On weekdays four trains during the middle of the day start and terminate at Wettingen due to a lack of paths through the Kreuzlibergtunnel.
