The S14 is a regional railway line of the Zürich S-Bahn on the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network, in the canton of Zürich, Switzerland. Unlike most of the Zürich S-Bahn lines, it is a radial route.

Route

The line runs from Zürich Hauptbahnhof and heads for Hinwil, the capital of the district of Hinwil in the so-called Zürcher Oberland.

Stations

Rolling stock

Initially, all services were operated by Re 450 class locomotives pushing or pulling double-deck passenger carriages.

However, the line is now mostly operated by RABe 514 class trains. In December 2011, the first of the RABe 511 class trains entered service on the S14.[1]

Scheduling

The train frequency is usually 30 minutes and the trip takes 40 minutes.
