Sándor Csörgő

Sándor Csörgő (Egerfarmos, July 16, 1947-Szeged, February 14, 2008) was a Hungarian mathematician. His main fields were probability, mathematical statistics, and asymptotic theory. He did important research on the St. Petersburg paradox. He was also a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Csörgő was a professor at the University of Szeged.
