Ruth Wignall (née Dodsworth) is a Welsh television presenter for ITV Cymru Wales,[2] presenting weekday weather forecasts during ITV News Cymru Wales. She is also a reporter and researcher for the Welsh consumer affairs programme, The Ferret, alongside Chris Segar.

Career

Ruth Wignall is best known for presenting the weather on ITV Cymru Wales but began her career on a radio show before training as a news reporter and presenter.[3] Programmes she has presented include The Ferret, Grassroots, the Royal Welsh Show and the Llangollen International Eisteddfod.[3]

Ruth also presented A Little Piece of Paradise on ITV Wales where she visited a number of unusual gardens at Snowdonia National Park, Monmouth, Denbigh, Caldicot, Barry, Laugharne and Machynlleth.[2]

Education

After graduating with a degree in communications Ruth Wignall studied post-graduate journalism at Cardiff University.[3]

Charity work

Ruth has hosted charity fashion shows for charities including the breast care centre at Llanelli Hospital[4] and the George Thomas Hospice.[5]

Private Life

Wignall lives in Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan, has two children[2] and is married to Swansea businessman and nightclub owner Jonathan Wignall.[6]
