Rust is a fictional character in the Marvel universe, and was a member of the mutant political group called the Resistants. He made his first appearance in Captain America #350.
Fictional character biography
Rust was assembled by the Red Skull at his Smith Buildings alongside a rouge Scourge of the Underworld, Watchdog, an Ultimatum agent and member of the Sweat Shop in order to confront the new Captain America. Rust was apparently slain by Captain during their battle.
It is unknown whether he retained his mutant powers after M-Day.
Powers and abilities
Rust possesses the mutant ability to cause metal to quickly rust, allowing him to corrode most metallic substances.
