The Rufous-vented Tapaculo (Scytalopus femoralis) is a species of bird in the Rhinocryptidae family. It is found in Peru. Note that the Long-tailed Tapaculo, (S. micropterus) is now considered a separate species. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
