The Rufous-thighed Kite (Harpagus diodon) is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, and Suriname. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
