Rudy Alejandro Cardozo Fernandez (born 14 February 1990 in Tarija, Bolivia) is a Bolivian footballer who plays for Bolívar in the Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano and the Bolivian national team.[1][2][3][4][5]

Club career

Bolívar

Cardozo joined Bolívar in 2009 from Israeli Premier League side Ironi Ramat.[6]

2010 season

Cardozo debuted for Bolívar in a 1-0 away win to Jorge Wilstermann on 7 March 2010. On 17 May 2010, Cardozo scored his first goal for Bolívar which proved to be a double in a 2–2 draw against Aurora.[7] The 2010 season saw him score 9 goals in 47 appearances.

2011 season

Cardozo appeared in 21 league matches as Bolívar claimed the 2011 Adecuación and qualified for the 2012 Copa Libertadores.

International career

Cardozo represented the Bolivia Under-20 side at the 2009 South American Youth Championship where which he participated in a 4-1 loss against Paraguay and a 5–1 loss to Brazil as Bolivia finished last in their group.

Cardozo debuted for Bolivia in a friendly which resulted in a 1–1 draw against Colombia on 12 August 2010.[8]

He scored his first goal for Bolivia in the 2–2 draw against Peru on 2 September 2011.
