Rudolf Ismayr (14 October 1908, Landshut – 9 May 1998) was a German weightlifter and Olympic champion. He won a gold medal at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.[1] He received a silver medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.[2]

He was expected by Hitler to get the golden medal but the Egyptian Khadr El Touni beat him.

Ismayr took the Olympic Oath at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.[3]
