Ruby City was a planned city of 75 families established in 1912. It was created by land promoters from Utah who had purchased 5,000 acres (2,000 ha) and built 75 homes. In 1915, there was there a hotel, two schools, a water canal and a chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). But because the water issues and bad soil had ended with the community which was abandoned by 1918 and became in ghost town.[1]
