Rotvoll Waldorf School, The Ecological House and Kristoffertunet
Next to the fiord are several conjoint Anthroposophical projects:
- Kristoffertunet, a Camphill 3 house mixed community with 25 people, some of whom with special needs.[1]
- Rotvoll Waldorf School[2]
- Biodynamic agriculture, ecological bakery and other activities associated with the above[3]
The area is known for its rich bird life and has several times been proposed for protection. When the Statoil facility was built there in the 1991, it resulted in civil disobedience at the climax of the Rotvoll controversy.
