Rothwell "Rod" Marlor (birth registered April→June 1893 in Oldham, Lancashire[1] — death registered April→June 1954 (aged 61) in Oldham, Lancashire[2]) was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1910s and '20s, playing at representative level for England, and at club level for Oldham, as a Second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12 in the era of contested scrums.

Rothwell Marlor won caps for England while at Oldham in 1921 against Wales, and Other Nationalities.[3]

Rothwell Marlor played Left-Second-row, i.e. number 11 in Oldham's 2–13 defeat to Wigan in the 1921–22 Rugby Football League Championship final at The Cliff, Broughton on Saturday 6 May 1922.[4]

Challenge Cup final appearances
During Rothwell Marlor's time at Oldham, they had a 16-3 victory over Hull Kingston Rovers in the 1924–25 Challenge Cup Final at Headingley Stadium, Leeds, and a 26-7 victory over Swinton in the 1926–27 Challenge Cup Final at Central Park, Wigan.

During Rothwell Marlor's time at Oldham, they had a 7-0 victory over Rochdale Hornets in the 1919–20 Lancashire Cup Final, and a 10-0 victory over St. Helens Recs in the 1924–25 Lancashire Cup Final.
Genealogical information
Rothwell Marlor's marriage to Caroline Vesty (birth registered April→June 1893 in Salford district) was registered during January→March 1916 in Ashton-under-Lyne district.[5] They had a son, also named Rothwell Marlor (birth registered July→September 1916 in Oldham district).
