Rosdi Talib (born January 11, 1976 in Terengganu) is a Malaysian footballer who is currently a retired from defender. He is a former member of the Malaysian national team.
Career
Club career
Talib started his career with Terengganu FA but left the team as a result of a salary dispute. [1] He then joined Pahang FA in 2006. The team became the first winners of Malaysia Super League and Malaysia FA Cup in 2006. In 2009 Talib returned to Terengganu to represent PBDKT T-Team FC. [2]
National team career
Talib has represented Malaysia since the 2000 AFC Asian Cup qualification. He helped Malaysia became the runners-up of the 2000 Merdeka Tournament and third place finishers in the 2000 Tiger Cup. He then became the captain of the Malaysian national team in the 2004 Tiger Cup where Malaysia finished third. He was also selected to play for Malaysia in the 2007 AFC Asian Cup, playing the entire match. His last match for Malaysia was against Iran in the Asian Cup.
