Rosate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,116 and an area of 18.7 square kilometres (7.2 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Rosate contains the frazione (subdivision) Cavoletto (Località).
Rosate borders the following municipalities: Gaggiano, Gudo Visconti, Besate, Noviglio, Morimondo, Vernate, Bubbiano, Calvignasco.
