Rory Markham (born March 25, 1982) is an American professional mixed martial artist, stuntman and actor. In mixed martial arts, he has competed professionally for the UFC and was a longtime veteran of the IFL, representing the Quad Cities Silverbacks.

MMA

Markham first got involved in traditional Karate when he was young, then moved on to Shidokan, Kenpō and entered his first full-contact competition in Kyokushin Karate. When he was 13 he was already fighting in bare-knuckle tournaments and paired against opponents in their 20's, knocking some of them out with head kicks. When Markham was 20 years old he started boxing and became affiliated with Pat Miletich.[1] Markham won his third fight of his MMA career in June 2004 with a second round armbar submission over expert journeyman Jason Guida. Following the victory Markham won his next five fights before falling to Trevor Garrett via a first round knockout.

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Markham's most notable victory to date is a highlight reel head kick knockout of Brodie Farber at UFC Fight Night: Silva vs. Irvin. This victory earned him a Knockout of the Night award at his UFC debut and was a nominee on Sherdog.com for "Knockout of the Year" and "Comeback of the Year".

Film

Markham is a trained actor and member of the Screen Actor's Guild. His films include The Death and Life of Bobby Z with Paul Walker and Laurence Fishburne; The Experiment with Adrien Brody and Forrest Whitaker; Setup with Bruce Willis, 50 Cent, and Ryan Phillippe; and Alex Cross with Tyler Perry & Matthew Fox.
