Ronald V. Book

Ronald Vernon Book (April 1937 – May 28, 1997 in Santa Barbara, California) worked in theoretical computer science. He published more than 150 papers in scientific journals. He gave many talks at the following conferences:

• STOC (Annual ACM Symposium on Theory of Computing)
• FOCS (Annual IEEE Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science)
• ICALP (International Colloquium on Automata, Languages and Programming sponsored by the European Association of Theoretical Computer Science)
• MFCS (International Symposium on Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science)

His papers are of great impact for computational complexity theory and term rewriting.
