Ron Holzner (born on February 15, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American musician, songwriter and producer. Holzner is presently the bassist of the heavy metal band Earthen Grave. He also played bass in the Chicago underground, doom metal pioneer band Trouble from 1985 to 2002.

Career

Ron started playing the bass guitar in 1978. His 5 major bass player influences are Geezer Butler, John Paul Jones, John Entwhistle, Mel Schacher and John Wetton. In 1984, Ron landed a job as a guitar/bass tech for the Chicago band Trouble and held that job until he got the job as a bass player 2 weeks before the recording of the Trouble release Run to the Light. Ron was in the band Trouble until 2002 when he left for personal reasons and a difference of opinion on direction and leadership.
