"Romantic St." (Hangul: 낭만길; alternatively: Romantic Road) is a K-pop song of swing jazz music genre performed by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. It was included as a track in their fourth studio album I Got a Boy, which was released digitally on January 1, 2013 under the record label of S.M. Entertainment. It was the third song from the album to be revealed.
Production
The music portal site Naver Music described "Romantic St." to be belonging from the jazz and swing music genres. The song was composed and arranged by a team of songwriters including Matthew Heath, Hailey Collier, DK, Jordan Kyle, Hyuk Shin and Jee Yoon Yoo. The lyrics which were penned by Lee Shin-sung, Lee Chan-mi and Sumi, talk about two lovers who take a trip down the memory lane of their romantic lives.[1]
Teaser video
"Romantic St." was the song used as background music for the first album video (drama) teaser of I Got a Boy. Although the name of the song was not revealed by that time, it was the third track to have been previewed by the audience before album release. The video was unveiled on December 26, 2012 and featured solo shots of all members interacting 'romantically' with fellow label-mate Kim Ian.[2]
Live performance
On January 1, 2013, the girls performed the song live during their special comeback showcase Girls' Generation's Romantic Fantasy which broadcast on MBC.
