Roger Van Overstraeten

Roger Joseph Van Overstraeten (December 7, 1937 – April 29, 1999) was a professor at the Catholic University of Leuven, an IEEE Fellow and the founder of the micro- and nanoelectronics research center IMEC.[1][2]
Van Overstraeten earned a PhD from Stanford University in 1963. In 1990 Van Overstraeten was elevated to Baron[3] and he received the IEEE Frederik Philips Award (1999).[4]
