Rodrigue Akl

Rodrigue Akl (born 30 September 1988) is a Lebanese basketball player with Hekmeh BC of the Lebanese Basketball League and is currently the captain of the team. He is a six-foot-three-inch tall point guard.[1] In 2012, Rodrigue signed a sponsorship deal with Red Bull and became one of their official athletes.

Club career

Akl previously played with Bluestars (Lebanon) and later signed with Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut for one season and then moved to Anibal Zahle. Akl signed officially with Hekmeh BC on May 2012 for a 4-year contract.

International career

Akl is also a member of the Lebanon national basketball team. He competed with the junior national team at the FIBA Under-19 World Championship 2007.[2] He was called up to the senior team for the first time at the FIBA Asia Championship 2009, where he saw action in four games for the fourth-place Lebanese team.[3]
