Chuck Williams is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Rockin' Rebel. He is best known for his appearances on the U.S. independent circuit with promotions such as Eastern Championship Wrestling and Combat Zone Wrestling. The name "Rockin' Rebel" is also Trademarked (TM)
Career
Williams trained as a professional wrestler under the Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson), debuting in December 1988 as Rockin' Rebel.
Tri-State Wrestling Alliance
In 1990, Rockin' Rebel signed with the Philadelphia-based Tri-State Wrestling Alliance. While touring with the TWA, Rebel became the first Tri- State Champion and had memorable feuds with The Sandman, D.C. Drake, and C.N. Redd. He also teamed with Jimmy Jannetty to form The Confederacy. They became top contenders to the tag team titles and feuded with teams such as The Super Destroyers and The Blackharts. Despite its success, the TWA ceased operations abruptly in 1991. Rebel returned to the promotion in early 1993 after it had been renamed Eastern Championship Wrestling.
Independent circuit
Rockin' Rebel hit the independent circuit after leaving ECW in 1994. he had a brief stint in WCW and numerous dark matches with the then called WWF. He had successful tours of Japan, Korea and Puerto Rico before returning to the U.S. in 1995. Throughout the mid-90s, Rebel and fellow ECW alum Glen Osbourne formed a successful tag team known as Darkside. Together they won the Maryland-based Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation tag team titles five times, the Virginia-based International Pro Wrestling Association tag team titles twice, and appeared regularly for the NWA. On July 25, 2000, Rockin' Rebel debuted in Combat Zone Wrestling. He joined Lobo's Army and remained in the stable until it dissolved upon Lobo's retirement. He then formed a stable known as Rebel's Army with Derrick Frazier, Doomsday Danny Rose and former Tough Enough contestant Greg Matthews. Rebel and Matthews still team together in many promotions around the independent circuit.
Between 2003 and 2005, Rockin' Rebel made numerous appearances with Pro-Pain Pro Wrestling.One of the major highlights of 2005 was the TAG TITLE MATCH on June 18 : Blackball'd (Rebel & Matthews) defeated Chris Harris & James Storm (Americas Most Wanted/AMW) to retain the Tag Team Titles in an awesome display of wrestling..
As of 2006, Rockin' Rebel has been working regularly with the World Wrestling Coalition and Delaware-based Dynamite Championship Wrestling. He is owner, operator, and head trainer of the Top Gun Wrestling Academy in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, as well as president / promoter of Blackball'd Wrestling Organization (BWO). He is also working for ACW, CCW, KWA, LVW, WOW (Warriors of Wrestling) Force One Pro Wrestling and new promotion ICWF Universal.
Rebel has formed a tag team with ICWF Universal star "The Big Gun" Mac Robo known as the "Cult Of Personality." The CoP is entered into the ICWF Universal Tag Team title tournament.
On June 11, 2010, Rockin Rebel defeated Rick Ryder to become the second ICWF Universal Champion in Berwick, PA at "Anything Goes Tonight."
On August 21, 2010, Rebel and Dennis "Heavy D" Wright captured the Atomic Championship Wrestling (ACW) Tag Team Championship from Old School's Ed House and High Voltage at "Headlock On Healthcare & Hunger" in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. In a show on September 25, 2010, Rebel and Heavy D successfully defended their ACW Tag Titles against Even NeMo and Adrian Bliss, as well as an interfering Louis Rich and Brandon Bishop.
For Atomic Championship Wrestling on October 23 in Stevens, PA, Rockin' Rebel and Heavy D defended their titles once again against Louis G. Rich and Brandon Bishop, beating them in both a dance off which included referees Tonya Stevens and Zach Carlucci in a rendition of "Apache (Jump On It)", as well as a tag team match.
In January 2011, Rebel annaounced that he and Mac Robo Had split up the tag team "Cult of Personality," and Rebel is scheduled to defend his ICWF Universal Title against the Big Gun June 5, 2011 at "Organized Chaos."
On June 5, 2011, Rebel was scheduled to defend his ICWF Universal title, but was unable to due to a knee injury.Thus, Rebel was stripped of the title, and the belt was put up in a 10 man battle royal, won by The Big Gun.
On October 1, 2011, The Big Gun and Rockin rebel reunited in CPW when Mr. Saturday Night turned on Rebel, prompting the Big Gun and several other wrestlers to run out and save Rockin Rebel. The Cult of Personality reunited, and took the PCWS Tag Team Championship in a Shenadoah StreetFight in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, on October 8, 2011 against Better Than You.
On September 29, 2012 Rockin' Rebel defeated A.K. Pembrooke and Shane Douglas in a 3 way dance to become the new PPW Heavyweight Champion in Ellandale, Delaware.
On March 9, 2013 Rockin' Rebel defeated Ox Hogg to become a 2 time ACW heavyweight champion in Stevens,Pa.
On March 16, 2013 Rockin' Rebel defeated CD Sensation to become the first ever HCW Heavyweight champion in Hazleton,Pa.
On July 27, 2013 Rockin' Rebel defeated Lobo Loco to become 2 time CCW Heavyweight champion in Middletown,Pa.
Since August 2013, Rebel has been associated with Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling based out of Freeland/Hazleton/Mcadoo Pennsylvania!
On August 31, 2013 Rockin' Rebel defeated Kras Van Tasel to become Valour Pro Wrestling heavyweight champion in Red Lion,Pa.
