Rocket Man (ロケットマン Roketto Man) is a detective manga series written and illustrated by Motohiro Katou. The series was first serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Magazine between 2001 and 2005 during which ten tankōbon volumes were produced.

Plot

Yo Mizunashi is a very ordinary high school teen, but he has no memories of his past. One day, he got both himself and his class-mate Yayoi Nagatsuki into trouble after saving a wounded mysterious man named "R".

The author Motohiro Katou explained in the manga that he wants to illustrate "a story which he wants to read when he was young", so here is the "Rocket Man".[1]

Characters

Yo Mizunashi (水無 葉 Mizunashi Yo)
A boy with an empty past. A son of a doctors' family, very knowledgeable in medical science.
Responsible to solve the mysteries cases ( murder, fraud and etc) in the story.
Yayoi Nagatsuki (長月 弥生 Nagatsuki Yayoi)
Yo's classmate. Yayoi is a spirited, tomboyish girl who excels in virtually every sport she attempts. Brave, athletic, pretty, and popular.
R
An intelligence agent of a secret organization. He calls himself "R" because he wants to build a rocket to get himself to the space (thus the "Rocket Man").
