Robin David Sachs (5 February 1951 – 1 February 2013)[3][4] was an English actor.[2]

Personal life

Sachs was born in London[2] to actors Leonard Sachs, who was born in South Africa, and Eleanor Summerfield.[citation needed] He was twice married: first to Welsh actress Siân Phillips (19791991)[citation needed] and, secondly, to Casey Defranco. Sachs was known for his role as sorcerer Ethan Rayne in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

He died from a heart attack on 1 February 2013.[4] During the last weekend of February 2013, the month in which Robin Sachs died, a Mass Effect 3 multiplayer challenge was enacted: "Operation Tribute". [5][6]
