Robert Schostak

Robert Schostak is chairman of the Michigan Republican Party, replacing Ron Weiser.[1]

Schostak was elected to head the Michigan Republican Party in January 2011. He has been involved in real estate since the mid-1970s.

In 2013, Schostak was re-elected as Chairman of the Michigan Republican Party, defeating Todd Courser.

Political Influence

Schostak, along with billionaire Dick DeVos and former MIGOP Chairman Ron Weiser, was one of the primary architects of the controversial "right to work" legislation enacted by the Michigan legislature in a lame duck session in December of 2012.[2]
