Robert Frederick Newbery (born 2 January 1979 in Adelaide, South Australia) is an Australian diver, who won a bronze medal in the 2000 Summer Olympics and two bronze medals in the 2004 Summer Olympics, one with synchronised springboard diving partner Steven Barnett. He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder.[1]
His wife, Chantelle Newbery, has also won an Olympic medal in diving. His brother, William Newbery, is a viola player.
He graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2010. He is currently working at Ipswich Hospital.
