Robert Mason (born August 6, 1964 in New York City) is a vocalist associated with a variety of hard rock and heavy metal acts. Robert's music career started in New York/New Jersey's rock scene fronting cover bands from age 19 to 24. In 1991 mutual industry acquaintances with a band called Lynch Mob led Mason to fly out to Arizona to join the band in time to start recording their self-titled 1992 album.
While on tour Lynch Mob opened up for Warrant, who Mason would eventually join decades later as lead singer. Mason amicably parted ways with Lynch Mob when the band dissolved in 1995.
Robert joined southern-rock band Cry of Love in 1996 for their second release entitled "Diamonds & Debris", although the band only stayed together for another year. Mason also supported Ozzy Osbourne as a back up singer on the Ozzmosis tour.
Mason replaced Stephen Pearcy in the early part and spring of 2000 and played a brief gig at a showcase for Portrait Records. He did record a demo as well.[1] He ended up leaving and being replaced by Jizzy Pearl.
Almost a decade after his previous stint with the band, Mason reunited with Lynch Mob and performed on the album "REvolution" which contain Dokken and Lynch Mob remakes. Around the same time of the release Robert narrowly escaped being severely injured in a terrible motorcycle accident, causing Lynch Mob to put their tour in support of their new album on hold.
In 2008, after a chance meeting at the Rocklahoma Festival Mason was asked to join long-time friends Warrant as a replacement for vocalist Jani Lane. Mason has been with the band ever since.
