Robert L. Dawson

Robert L. Dawson (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, July 26, 1943 - Paris, France, June 5, 2007) was a professor of French language and literature in the Department of French and Italian at the University of Texas at Austin, where he taught since 1975. His fields of interest were eighteenth-century French literature and culture, the history of the book, and descriptive bibliography. His collection of 18th century manuscripts and printed works is held in Texas by the Texas A&M university's Cushing Library.[1]
