Robert Winston Killebrew (born December 16, 1984) is a professional American and Canadian football linebacker free agent. He was signed by the Calgary Stampeders as a street free agent in 2009. He played college football for the Texas Longhorns.

Early years

Three-year starter who saw action at both defensive end and linebacker for Klein High School in Spring, Texas. Two-time district MVP who posted 242 tackles, 32 TFL and 17 sacks in his final two seasons. A 5A first-team all-state and All-Greater Houston selection and the district 15-5A Defensive Player of the Year as a senior defensive end ... served as a team captain that year. Posted 144 tackles, 18 TFL, nine sacks, eight QB pressures and three forced fumbles at defensive end in 2002. Also blocked three kicks. Played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Registered 98 tackles, 14 TFL, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception en route to District 15-5A co-Defensive Player of the Year honors as a junior. Played linebacker as a sophomore. Also ran on the sprint and mile relays for the track & field team.

College career

Redshirt freshman season (2004)

Appeared in eleven games as backup weakside LB and on special teams. Recorded 15 tackles and two pressures. Notched two special teams tackles. Part of a defense that allowed just 320.1 yards per game (23rd NCAA) and 17.9 points per game (18th NCAA). Tallied three tackles in the opener versus North Texas. Set a season high of four tackles against Baylor. Had two tackles versus Missouri. Made three tackles at Texas Tech. Added one tackle against No. 19 Oklahoma State. Redshirted in 2003.

Sophomore (2005)

Played in all 13 games, starting 10, at strongside linebacker and on special teams in 2005. Key member of a defense that ranked 10th nationally in total defense (302.9 ypg), eighth in scoring defense (16.4 ppg), eighth in passing defense (172.0 ypg) and 33rd in rushing defense (130.9 ypg). Finished sixth on the team in tackles with 67 to go along with 10 TFL, four sacks, 10 pressures, three PBU, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three blocked kicks. Opened the season with six tackles, a sack and a pressure versus La.-Lafayette. Added one tackle at No. 4 Ohio State. Recorded seven tackles, a TFL and a pressure versus Rice. Posted five tackles and a pressure in his first career start at Missouri. Notched four tackles, including two TFL, a PBU and a pressure versus Oklahoma. Tallied a career-high 10 tackles, a TFL and a PBU against No. 10 Texas Tech. Added two stops, a PBU and blocked two punts at Oklahoma State. He became the first Longhorn to block two punts in a game since Terrol Dillon did it in 1999. Posted four tackles and two pressures at Baylor. Notched five tackles, a sack, a pressure, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery against Kansas. Matched his career-high with 10 tackles, including four TFL and two sacks, to go along with a forced fumble and a pressure at Texas A&M. Tallied seven tackles and a pressure in the Big 12 Championship. Added six tackles in Texas’ 41-38 victory over USC for the National Championship.

Junior (2006)

Started 12 games, missing the Texas Tech game due to a knee injury. Helped UT give up only 61.2 yards rushing per game (third NCAA), 297.4 yards per game (22nd NCAA) and 18.3 points per game (26th NCAA). The 61.2 yards rushing per game ranks second on UT’s all-time list. Posted 40 tackles, four TFL, three pressures and two fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a TD. Recorded two tackles against North Texas. Posted four tackles against No. 1 Ohio State. Had four tackles, including a TFL, and a PBU at Rice. Notched four tackles and two pressures against Iowa State. Recorded two tackles and a TFL against Sam Houston State. Also recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for his first career TD. Added two tackles and a fumble recovery versus No. 14 Oklahoma. Notched two tackles and had a 31-yard fumble return for a touchdown against Baylor. Recorded five tackles at Nebraska. Had three tackles against Oklahoma State. Posted five tackles, including a TFL, and a pressure against Kansas State. Tallied six tackles, including a TFL, against Texas A&M. Added a tackle in the Alamo Bowl versus Iowa.

Senior (2007)

Appeared in all 13 games, starting 12, at strongside linebacker. Named one of UT’s Outstanding Linebackers. Tallied 57 tackles, a sack and two TFL. Helped UT allow just 93.4 yards rushing per game (Sixth NCAA). Opened the season by recording five tackles versus Arkansas State. Added six tackles and a pressure against No. 19 TCU. Posted a season-high nine tackles in a victory against UCF. Tallied two tackles versus Rice. Posted four tackles against Kansas State. Added a tackle versus No. 10 Oklahoma. Notched five tackles at Iowa State. Tallied two tackles at Baylor. Recorded four tackles against Nebraska. Posted six tackles, including a sack, at Oklahoma State. Notched three tackles and a pressure against Texas Tech. Added seven tackles, including a TFL, at Texas A&M. Tallied three tackles against Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl.
