Robert C. Broomfield

Judge Robert C. Broomfield (born 1933) is a judge for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. President Ronald Reagan nominated Judge Broomfield on May 15, 1985 and he was confirmed by the United States Senate on July 10, 1985. Judge Broomfield served as chief judge from 1994 to 1999 and assumed senior status in August 1999. Chief Justice William Rehnquist appointed Judge Broomfield to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in May 2002.

Judge Broomfield earned a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University in 1955, and a LL.B. from University of Arizona College of Law in 1961.

From 1955 to 1958, Judge Broomfield was a United States Air Force Lieutenant, and an Air Force Reserve Captain from 1961 to 1972.
