Robert B. Lindsay

Robert Burns Lindsay (July 4, 1824, Lochmaben, Dumfriesshire, Scotland - February 13, 1902, Tuscumbia, Alabama) was the 22nd Governor of the U.S. state of Alabama from 1870 to 1872.
Lindsay studied at the University of St Andrews before immigrating to the United States in 1844. He served in both the Alabama House of Representatives and the Alabama Senate prior to the American Civil War.
