Rob Matheson

Robin Matheson is a broadcast journalist and producer working for Al Jazeera English.

Career

Al Jazeera English

At Al Jazeera English, Matheson is based at the main broadcast-centre, in Doha in Qatar. He is currently an anchor on the flagship-programme Newshour. He used to work behind the camera, as a producer.

BBC Scotland

Before joining Al Jazeera English, Matheson was a reporter, presenter and broadcaster for BBC Scotland, where he reported both for BBC Scotland television and BBC Radio Scotland. For the BBC, he presented the Reporting Scotland breakfast, lunchtime and weekend programmes.

Early career

Prior to joining the BBC, Matheson began his career as a reporter and presenter on local radio-stations.

Business interests

When not working for Al Jazeera, Matheson is a media and presenter trainer for radio and television, and a voice-over artist.
