The Riyue Mountain (Chinese: 日月山; pinyin: Rìyuè Shān; literally "Sun and moon mountain") is situated in Huangyuan County of Xining in Qinghai province, China.

The legends says that Princess Wencheng lost a mirror called Sun and Moon, on Riyue Mountain that allowed her to see Xi'an, and that the Daotang River that flows near this mountain is born of her tears.

This mountain separate Qinghai province into pastoral a zone at East and an agricultural zone in the west.[1]
