Ripsaw is a Top Spin ride at Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire, England. It was opened in 1997.
The ride was manufactured by Huss Rides, a German company who had previously installed a similar ride at Chessington World of Adventures (Rameses Revenge) in 1995. The ride is a 'Top Spin' in which riders sit in a 20 seat wide, two tier gondola rotated by a pair of enormous arms and allowed to freely pivot. Riders are also suspended above jets of water at one point and are lowered towards it.
Ripsaw is situated in the 'Forbidden Valley' section of the park. It is themed around a piece of shrapnel thrown from the pit of the alien that inhabits the nearby B&M inverted roller coaster Nemesis.
