Rila Fukushima (福島 リラ Fukushima Rira) is a Japanese fashion model and actress.
Life and career
Fukushima was born on the Japanese island Kyushu, but grew up in Tokyo.[1]
Originally attempting to secure a position as a model agent at a Tokyo agency, she was persuaded to try modelling instead.[2] Her early career in Tokyo consisted of bookings for various commercial and editorial clients, including the S/S 2004 D&G campaign.[citation needed] Since then, she has gone on to work with a multitude of labels and brands in various print and motion media advertising campaigns.[3]
Fukushima has also appeared in several music videos, including Lenny Kravitz's "Where Are We Runnin'?" and Ben Taylor's "Wicked Way".[citation needed] She starred in a music video titled "World's End" directed by artist Bruno Levy, with music by Deantoni Parks.[citation needed]
Fukushima co-starred in the 2013 superhero film The Wolverine as Yukio.[4]
