Rico Chiapparelli

Rico Chiapparelli is a native of Baltimore Maryland. He is also known as the "Baltimore Butcher." Junior National champion as a senior in high school, he then was a standout wrestler for the University of Iowa, where he was an NCAA national champion in 1987 at 177 lbs.[1] After college, he went on to win a USA senior freestyle championship in 1989 at 180.5 lbs.[2] Currently, Chiapparelli is a mixed martial arts, submission wrestling, and wrestling instructor, as well as an MMA coach.[citation needed] Some of his notable professional fighters include Randy Couture, Frank Trigg, Vladimir Matyushenko and Mac Danzig.[3]
