Biography

Film career

Gay Porn

Ricky Sinz signed as a Raging Stallion Studios Exclusive in 2007. He identifies himself as a bisexual.[1]

In September 2008, Sinz became Raging Stallion's first Lifetime Exclusive after his first year contract expired that same year. The new deal covers films, print media and web markets, as well as the development of new projects aimed at the mainstream gay market.[2] At Raging Stallion's 2008 annual Folsom Street Fair pre-party, Sinz was named Raging Stallion Man of the Year for 2008.[3]

While at Raging Stallion, he was a Technical Director as well as an actor for the award-winning gay porn film Grunts, in which, at the 2008 GayVN Awards, he won 3 of the 8 awards for the film because of three of his performances. Grunts is purported to be the first gay porn film released on Blu-ray Disc and a film with a record-breaking-production budget in the gay porn industry.[citation needed]

Continuing in this tradition at Raging Stallion Studios, he did not stop with the military-based film Grunts and went on to star in a leading role for the subsequent, higher-budget film To the Last Man.

Mainstream Films

Ricky Sinz did venture out of mainstream porn to work next door with Hornbill Films director Toby Ross, an award winning director with hands in independent film, softcore porn and hardcore porn. Ricky starred in the film Live for Sex, Die for Love, which appears to be his first venture in to a more mainstream filming genre with a more acting-based role.[4] This film preceded his dramatic role in the gay porn film To the Last Man.

Community and Causes

On December 4, 2008, Sinz was nominated for GLBT Performer of the Year for the XBIZ Awards 2009, held in Hollywood, California.[5]

His Chicago-based personal preferences for support in his own community are TPAN (Test Positive Aware Network), Bonaventure House, St. Judes, The Howard Brown Health Center, and the STOP AIDS project.[6]
