Richard "Richie" McCarthy (born 1988) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a full-back for the Limerick senior team.[1]
McCarthy made his first appearance for the team during the 2011 championship and has become a regular player over the last few seasons. Since then he has won one National League (Division 2) winners' medal.
At club level McCarthy is an All-Ireland medalist in the junior grade with Blackrock. In addition to this he has also won Munster and county junior championship medals.[2]
