Richard N. Cabela
Richard N. Cabela (born 1936−) in Chappell, Nebraska is an entrepreneur, known as a founder in 1961 of Cabela's,[1] one of the world's leading[citation needed] outfitters of outdoor sporting and recreational goods. He has stated that his business was inspired by his bout of polio and a deep love of hunting and fishing.[2]
Cabela has developed, with his brother James, a business with annual revenues of $2.7 billion, featuring stores in Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin and shipping goods and 120 million catalogs each year to all 50 states and at least 120 foreign nations.[citation needed] There are also negotiations to bring Cabela's to many other states.[citation needed]
