Richard Michael Cockayne Frith[3] (born 8 April 1949) is the current Bishop of Hull.[4]
Frith was born into a clerical family,[note 1][5] he was educated at Marlborough[6] and Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.[7] After a period of study at St John's College, Nottingham he was ordained a deacon in 1974 and a priest in 1975[1] and began his career with a curacy at Mortlake after which he was Vicar of Thamesmead. Following this he was Rector of Keynsham[8] and finally, before his ordination to the episcopate, Archdeacon of Taunton from 1992.[1] Frith was divorced in 1999[2] and married Kay in April 2006.[1]
