Richard Brendan Burke

Richard Brendan Burke is an associate professor at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. In 2012 he became the chair of the Greek and Roman Studies Department at the university. He has contributed to the field of Bronze Age archaeology, specifically with respect to the textile industry in both Mycenaean Greece and Iron Age Phrygia. His primary teaching responsibilities are Greek archaeology and ancient Greek language. Since 2007 he has been a co-director of the Eastern Boeotia Archaeological Project in Greece, a synergasia of the Canadian Institute in Greece and the Greek Ministry of Culture.^[1]
