Richa Panai(born:29 October 1991) is an Indian model and actress who appears in Bollywood,Tollywood and Mollywood and various ads.[1][2] Richa Panai came to prominence as a model in advertisements for the Indian jewellery company Bhima Jewellery.[3][4][5][6][7][8]

Career

She was born in Uttaranchal and brought up in Lucknow.[9] Right from her school days, she wanted to be an actress. When she was in school, she won the Miss School title and after her 12th Standard the Miss Lucknow title after which she decided to get into modelling.[10] However, her journey to the modelling world was a struggle because of her conservative background and her family's reservations on the showbiz industry.

After she did a correspondence course and graduated from Delhi University,[11] she became an air hostess with Kingfisher and was simultaneously looking out for modelling assignments. Jabbar Kalarakkal gave her her first ad film.[12] She bagged a few Malayalam ads and soon, she made her film debut too.[13]

She made her debut in the 2011 Malayalam film Vaadamalli. Same year, she starred in two more Malayalam films Bangkok Summer and Sandwich opposite Unni Mukundan and Kunchako Boban respectively. Richa Panai won the Asianet Film Awards for Best New Face of the Year '12 (Female).

She was next seen with Allari Naresh in her first Telugu film Yamudiki Mogudu.[9]
