Ricardo Ismael Rojas Mendoza (born 26 January 1971 in Posadas) is a retired Argentine-born Paraguayan football defender.
Career
Rojas played for Club Libertad in Paraguay, S.L. Benfica in Portugal and with Argentine clubs Estudiantes, River Plate and Belgrano. He is best known in Argentina for having scored his only First Division goal in a 3-0 victory of River over its main rivals, Boca Juniors. After scoring that goal, he was nicknamed vaseline.[1]
Rojas was a participant at the 1998 FIFA World Cup with the national team.[2] He played 7 times for Paraguay.
