The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Styria and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[3] It includes the hamlets of Spodnje Ribče (German: Unterfischern[2]), Zgornje Ribče (German: Oberfischern[2]), Podreber, and Dašnik.[4]
