Restless is rapper Xzibit's third studio album. It was released on December 12, 2000 and debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200 with approximately 204,000 copies sold in its first week released.[1] The album then fell seventeen spots to number 31 in the second week, but then rose back up 19 spots to peak at number 12 the following week.[2] Also since being released the album was certified platinum by the RIAA with an excess of one million copies sold making it Xzibit's most successful album of his career.[3] Previously a hardcore New York-styled rapper in the same vein as King Tee and Tha Alkaholiks, Restless marked a turn in Xzibit's career where he embraced G-funk style production, singers on hooks, big name guests and producers, pop singles, and a general attempt to achieve cross-over success.[citation needed]
