Resource Nation is located in San Diego, California. The company connects businesses with local and national businesses and allows them to compare based on price, geographic region, industry specialty, and other specifications. The service works similarly to other lead generation web sites such as BuyerZone, LendingTree and ServiceMagic.

In February 2011, Resource Nation announced the acquisition of Business.com.[1] Business.com allows purchasers to find and connect with businesses across thousands of products and services. Combined, the companies have more than 10,000 customers and support more than 20 million purchasers from buyers in small-to-medium sized enterprises.

Resource Nation also produces free how-to guides,[2] downloadable business forms, and other articles and guides on business and entrepreneurial topics.[3]

The site also has been launched as co-branded programs offered by major online business communities and publishers, including Entrepreneur.com, Dell, StartUpNation.com, and Inc.com.

History

Resource Nation was launched in 2006 by Ryan Peddycord as a vendor locator tool for entrepreneurs. In February, 2011, Resource Nation acquired Business.com [4] As part of the transaction, JMI Equity General Partner Peter Arrowsmith and Vice President David Greenberg have joined Resource Nation's Board of Directors.
