Renewal is a British left-wing political magazine, published in London, England, by Lawrence and Wishart.

Renewal was founded in 1993 as the journal of the Labour Coordinating Committee in the wake of the Labour Party's fourth successive election defeat. It established itself as an influential forum for debate among Labour Party 'modernisers'[1] under the editorship of Neal Lawson and Paul Thompson, with contributors including Robin Cook, Gordon Brown, Michael Walzer, Zygmunt Bauman and Hilary Wainwright. Over time its editors took an increasingly critical approach towards Tony Blair's leadership of the Labour Party[2] and were instrumental in the foundation of the pressure group Compass.

In 2007 Renewal was relaunched as 'a journal of social democracy' under a refreshed Editorial Board including Anthony Barnett, Madeleine Bunting, Jon Cruddas, John Harris, David Marquand, David Miliband, Ed Miliband, Fiona Millar, John Monks, Richard Sennett, Jon Trickett, Roberto Unger, and Erik Olin Wright. Recent issues have featured Sheri Berman, Ross McKibbin, Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, Karma Nabulsi, Graham Turner, Colin Crouch, Frances O'Grady, David Lammy, James Crabtree, Stella Creasy, Conor Gearty, Andrew Simms, and Michael Hardt.
