Rekha Thapa is a Nepali actress. She has done around 200 nepali movies and has gained popularity in the nepali cine world because of her glamorous role. She is also a Social Worker.

In the media

Because of her popularity in the country and abroad, Rekha Thapa has always been in the Media with some controversies. Her recent entry in a top Political Party UCPN (Maoist) amidst a public program at party headquarters office of UCPN (Maoist) in Koteshwor, Kathmandu has been criticised by some of her fans.[1] In November 2009, while protesting for Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) on supremacy in the government, Rekha Thapa was seen dancing with the Prachanda who encircled Durbar Square, the government headquarter.[2] On December 2009, Rekha Thapa was seen kissing the shortest man in the world; Khagendra Thapa Magar which also increased her popularity.[3] She has married with film producer Chhabi Ojha and now separated. She has always ruled out about any affairs with other actors Rajesh Hamal, Nikhil Upreti and Aaryan Sigdel.[4]
