The album was originally available digitally and physically, it has however since been pulled from most of the internet and is no longer in print. However, the UK music website 7digital.com, still carries the release digitally. "7digital" also has a US branch where the album is available in the same way.[2]

Production

Although Josh Dun is commonly attributed as being the drummer in Regional at Best, it is known that Nick Thomas and Chris Salih were involved in recording "Guns for Hands," "Slowtown," "Car Radio," and "Trees."[3] So, though it is true that Josh Dun was drummer during the "Regional at Best" tour following the album's release, it is unknown whether he was involved in the creation and recording of the music itself.

The songs "Guns for Hands," "Holding on to You," "Ode to Sleep," "Car Radio," "Trees," and "House of Gold" were all re-released on the band's third studio album, Vessel, with alterations/enhancements. The three most notably changed songs are "Ode to Sleep," "Car Radio," and "Trees." "Guns for Hands" and "Ode to Sleep" were also two of the three songs on the band's Three Songs EP, which preceded Vessel.

Regional at Best was the album that caught the attention of Fueled by Ramen records and launched the band into national popularity.[citation needed]

Notes and miscellanea

  • In the song "Kitchen Sink," Tyler Joseph's younger brother Zack, raps the bridge.
  • The song "Ruby" is about a girl who goes to Tyler's church. She has down syndrome and inspired Tyler in his writing of the track.[4]
